Why Maps and Apps Are Not Enough

A drone app can make airspace information easier to understand, but technology does not replace the pilot's responsibility.

Maps can change. Temporary restrictions can appear with little notice, and different jurisdictions may impose different requirements. A pilot who relies exclusively on an outdated map or application could unknowingly enter restricted airspace.

Before takeoff, responsible operators should verify the location, review current restrictions, understand any authorization requirements, and confirm that the planned flight complies with local rules.
